Tufted chair

Original, fabric was starting to rot.

Used five different fabrics to cover this chair.  Added extra foam to seat cushion.  Welt on all edges.

This is a chair I reupolstered recently.  It was a chair that was about 60 years old.  I had fun doing this job.  I felt it turned out very nice.

Leather ottoman repair.

This otto had two tears on the top cover.  One was a ragged 8 inch cut and the other a two inch tear.  I sewed the tears up, filled the leather and air brushed on color.

Vintage chair.

This is a vintage chair that I needed to redo the springs and foam.  As you can see, the burlap, straw were rotten.

 Completed chair.
This chair came from a customer I met on facebook.  Her mother owned this chair and she wanted the seat to be redone.  It is so interesting to me, to see straw in the chair instead of foam, that is used today.  Another happy customer.

Before pix of the wing back chair

Wing back chair

This was a chair that I reupholstered earlier in the year.  I learned a lot from this project.  This chair had welts everywhere.  My first big project.  I thought I had some before pix, but I guess I do not.

My latest project

I refinished and upholstered this chair last month.  The wood is oak.  This one was a fun project and I think it turned out pretty good.

vinyl/leather ottoman

This was a client's ottoman that was chewed by a dog of their's.  I was able to patch the hole and airbrush on color.

A Few Thoughts

I thought I had started a blog on jobs I had done.  If I did, I lost all the info.  I included just a small sampling of some of the projects I have completed.  I hope to add more photos as I find them.

Upholstered chair

This reminded me of an old chair you would find in a barn.  I re-upholstered the seat, centering the the name on the flour sack.

Upholstered Ottomans

Befor and after.  This one I chose to add a skirt.  You can notice the patch on the skirt.  Quite popular for collectors.

Upholstered Footstools

I had a job recovering old stools with flour sacks which were sold at a trade show.  It was quite fun.  I was given a free reign to how I used the design of the sacks to upholster.  I used welts on some and even incorporated natural occuring holes from the sacks that occurred on the others.

Upholstered Chair

This is chair that I repaired and reupholstered.  It was a fun project, I learned a lot and my client loved it.
